about meI am a Bolivian environmental engineer and ecologist. Broadly interested in how freshwater ecosystems respond to the environmental changes (e.g. changes in te physico-chemical characteristics of water) in order to provide water conservation measures. I integrate theory and methods from ecology, geography and statistics to investigate the potential impacts of climate change on freshwater ecosystems. My work has focused on ecosystems dependent on glacier water runoff in the tropical Andes, a region where the fast glacier retreat will impact ecosystem services and millions of people.
